I've always been drawn to new beginnings, and being reborn through change. I had a councilor once tell me that every day is a new beginning. Because in each day we are the newest version of ourselves, so there isn't need to cling to the past with so much remorse.

So here it is:
My change.
My rebirth.
My beginning.

Here's a new beginning,
it sounds like this:
Far from who I once was,
he won't be missed.

I was filled with rage,
locked inside a cage that I built.
I was so afraid,
always so afraid.

Oh but not anymore.
Not anymore,
oh no!

Cheers to all the good times,
the bad ones too.
Times that I was fucked up
and no one knew.

I was such a wretch,
making such a mess of my life.
I can now confess,
I tried to repress

Who I hated in me.
But now I see,
clearly.



I am flying now,
looking at the ground below.

thinking of the pain I caused.
We got through this mom,
just before the bombs went off.
Now I'm in my skin

Picking up the pieces
